Alienware Console Announced?
Ok so strictly speaking it's not a console, but hell, it might as well be. Check it out...

Specs vary depending on how much you're willing to pay, but even the bottom end spec will run Battlefield 3 at 1080 with a load of texture effects at over 30fps.
Alienware aren't the type of company to put R&D into something like this unless they can see a long term market, so I'd expect this to be the beginning of a new range from them. There's no other mini-PC like this on the market aimed at gamers, so it'll be interesting to see how it performs initially.
MW3: It's a Cut and Paste game...
If there's one commentator we've learned to trust at Splinter Gaming, it's 8 thoughts. Most of the time he's right, and when he does get it wrong he's big enough to admit it. So when MW3 videos started dropping on Youtube this week there was one opinion that we really wanted to hear.
Let's be clear, MW3 was never going to be a bad game, even with the major disruption at Infinity Ward the pedigree was always going to be strong enough to carry through to future titles. The danger was that it would be a game of missed opportunities, a worry that was stoked by the reveal of an engine looking pretty much identical to MW2, from the sounds of things, this may well be the year Activision's iron grip on XboxLive slips a little...
