MW3: It's a Cut and Paste game...

If there's one commentator we've learned to trust at Splinter Gaming, it's 8 thoughts. Most of the time he's right, and when he does get it wrong he's big enough to admit it. So when MW3 videos started dropping on Youtube this week there was one opinion that we really wanted to hear.

Let's be clear, MW3 was never going to be a bad game, even with the major disruption at Infinity Ward the pedigree was always going to be strong enough to carry through to future titles. The danger was that it would be a game of missed opportunities, a worry that was stoked by the reveal of an engine looking pretty much identical to MW2, from the sounds of things, this may well be the year Activision's iron grip on XboxLive slips a little...

Yeah, not had a chance to play for 7 hours yet (7 minutes maybe) but 8thoughts kinda hit the nail on the head... this is just MW2 upgraded; MW2s, MW2.5... nothing unique in it really... MW3 should have been a whole lot bigger, better, badder... It is just like playing Mw2 with new maps and im bored of that shit already

How much bigger can you go before it sdtarts becoming a different game though? For me it's the lack of a graphical upgrade that's the only let down. It's been a while since they made any significant improvements to the engine.
