3 Reasons why I'm looking forward to Brink...

It's been nearly two years since any game other than the latest Call of Duty got a decent share of my gaming time. Many have fallen by the wayside; Final Fantasy, Forza, Fable, Red Dead Redemption, even Mario has been squeezed out by the videogame crack cocaine that is online COD. But I've got my fingers crossed for this one.
Here's why...
1. Freedom of Movement
I loved Mirror's Edge, but the gunplay and combat sucked. Brink introduces a similar Free Running concept to a more robust FPS frame work, and that means you're going to be bouncing around the levels like a f**king duracell bunny. Can't wait. This game is going to be heavily objective based, and that's going to mean making some real decisions, rather than picking between the AK47 and the AK74u.
Ok so the floating city might not look like the most original environment in the world, but it's going to be a breath of fresh air after years of COD's grey-brown industrial complexes. The levels also look great, which will be nice after the disappointment of Black Ops visuals.
Treyarch have taken a stab at this but Brink's customisation features have more in common with WoW than Black Ops. With everything down to your body and clothes and skin tone customisable, and your bodyweight effecting how your character will play. Your character is going to be genuinely unique. Facepaint? Pah! Wait until you see some of the kit you can pick up...
